What's up guys! Saf here
on SuperSafTV, and here is the Oppo Reno
10x zoom. And I've partnered with Oppo
too bring this to you guys nice and early
for a detailed first look. A thumbs up
for that will be appreciated. Let's get
straight to it. Now the first thing we do
have to look atis this beautiful display.
As you can see, we've got pretty much no bezels.
It's a 6.6 inch OLED display, with a full HD+ resolution,
and it looks absolutely stunning. We've
got great viewing angles, and around a
93.1% screen to body ratio, which is one
of the highest screen to body ratios out there.
Now in order to achieve this very high screen to body ratio,
without having it compromise like a notch or something,
we do have a pivot rising module. Let me
show you how this works. So when you go
onto the front facing camera, this pops
up. It's kind of like a shark fin.
Very interesting implementation.
Now this
module rises automatically within 0.8 seconds, and it's got a very smooth motion.
It has a 16 megapixel front facing camera, with an F2.0 aperture, as well as
portrait mode 2.0.Now as well as
maximizing that screen to body ratio, another advantage of having a module like
thesis privacy. So, you always know when the front facing camera is active. Of
course we install lots of different apps these days. Some of those apps require
permissions to your cameras, and when you're kind of flicking through you might
not even see that. With the Oppo Reno, that's always going to be hidden. The
front facing camera is always going to be hidden unless you physically want to
use it. So that's definitely an advantage.
Now for durability, this pivot rising camera module has been tested over
200,000 times. And it can also detect the
state of the phone. So, if the phone is dropped, then it's going to
automatically retract. Now I'm not going to test this, because this is the only
unit I've got here, so I'm going to take Oppo's word for it.
Now if we move over onto the back, you'll
see that this module also has a flash, and
then we've got a triple rear facing camera setup.
Now this consists of a primary 48 megapixel camera,
with an F1.7 aperture, optical image stabilization, and has a very large sensor
size. But in addition to that, you also
have an ultra-wide camera which is eight megapixels.
This is something that I
do really like. It lets you get in so much more into your shots. And finally we
have a 13 megapixel telephoto camera with optical image stabilization. And this
is going to give you up to 10x hybrid zoom. Now what's really impressive is
that even though we’ve got such a high level of zoom, there is no camera bump.
The cameras are flushed against the back, and this is something that I really
do like. It’s achieved using periscope technology, so there's actually mirrors
within the device which take the camera signal, and go vertical, rather than horizontal.
In addition to that flat camera module, you’ll also get this really nice
gradient finish here at the back which looks very very slick. And then we've
got a two tone glass finish here at the back.
So we've got glossy glass in the middle, and then we've got this mist glass
around the device which gives it a very unique look.
I've got the oceanic green version here.
There is also a jet-black version available.
And it is 3D gorilla glass six, so the
edges and the back are actually curved in which makes this a lot more
comfortable to hold. Now taking a
further look around the device, we do
have an in-display fingerprint scanner which works really really well .Look
at that! Super super fast.
And even though we've got such a high screen to body ratio,
we still do have stereo speakers with Dolby Atoms support.
One is here in the earpiece, and one is bottom firing.
As well as that at the bottom, we do
have a USB Type-C port. And then we've
got a SIM card tray.
Now what's
interesting about this SIM card trays that you can have either two SIM cards,
or you can have one SIM card, and one SD card’s you can expand the storage on
here which is great, but you can get up to 256 gigabytes of storage internally,
which means you probably won't even need to use that SD card slot, but it's
definitely nice to have. On the right hand side, there's the power button, and
on the left hand side, we've got some volume buttons. Now we do have the latest
and greatest chipset in here, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, with up to 8
gigabytes of RAM. And for software, we do have Android Pie, with color OS six.
And for the battery we've got a very large 4065 MH battery, and as mentioned
earlier on, we do get root charging 3.0,so
you're going to get super-fast top ups. Now
for pricing and availability, I haven't been given the information as yet, but
I have been told it's going to be very competitively priced and as soon as I've
got pricing and availability details, those will be linked in the description below,
so do go ahead and check that out. What do you guys think of the Oppo Reno 10x zoom?
